BAGLIORI DELL'ANIMA – 2001

Bagliori dell'anima is a path in harmony with all evolutionary ways toward the truth, a path of reverent study of the harmonic laws great and small; is about relating the spectral harmonic sound current to the rhythm pulse current – harmonic space in harmonic time.

(MM Music Magazines -Frank Sonwell )

I have used “Bagliori dell'Anima” hundreds of times in my hypnotherapy practice….this music an effective tool for reaching deep states of relaxion and trance.

(PhD Psychologist of M.J. Institute of New Mexico - USA - Robert Wollf )

“Bagliori dell'Anima” is a great and profoundly inspired CD by the Milanese composer Stefano Scala, who in addition to playing percussion, drums and natural instruments, shows his skill in harmonic singing. Researcher, traveller and champion of the intimate and spiritual relationship between Music and Nature, his world is not unlike that of artists such as David Hykes, Stephan Micus, Christian Bollmann, or of the towering figure of Juri Camisasca, who Stefano Scala gives heartfelt thanks to in the cover notes. His is a sincere ambient ritual, finally stripped of all frills and facile embellishment, and for this reason, but not only, deserves our attention.

(Blow Up– Gino Dal Soler)

Bagliori dell'Anima, by the Milanese artist, Maestro Stefano Scala, borrows the title of a book by Henri Thomasson published by Franco Battiato's publishing house Ottava. The subtitle is ‘meditations on my search', and it is precisely a research on sound that Scala performs with voice and natural instruments, mainly percussion, in this CD imbued with introspective and ritual atmosphere. The cover shows a photo taken by the artist at the Monastery of Aghìu Pavlu (Sao Paolo) on Mount Athos, a monastic stronghold of Eastern Christianity.

(Incontri e Spiritualità – Pino Joso)
